Book Cover

I have found there's a lot of contrast in this design.  For example, the word of DESIGN.  All the alphabet is blue in color except for the "E" which is red in color.  Besides there is also the element of lines in this design.  Different position of lines which is the upper part and the bottom part of the cover book are used but it is still look balance.  The lines also create a rhythm because the lines are repeated in the same size.  The lines also contain contrast which is two lines are colored in different color than others.  The designer also use an abstract background which is a soft texture and use a very soft color .

ISA Corner (Bunting)

This is a picture of bunting.  Most of the food is more to the western food.   At my first impression I think this is a stall with the Malaysian or Thai concept because of the red color that attract my eyes. Therefore I think the red color of the background of the bunting is not suite with the concept of the food.  For me red color make me image about "hot and spicy" food.  the designer should change the color which is suitable with the concept of western food.

The picture also contain outline image of a cooking man that make set it off from other elements.  

Besides the designer put some image in round shape in order to separate the elements within the design.  The designer also use the round shape filled with the price of each food to create contrast so that people may directly see them.

Website Design

This website design is applying the rules of lines.  There is two lines before the first paragraph stated and also after the paragraph.  It makes the design looks very organized because the designer divided each part of the content in the website by using lines.  As a reader, i feel easy to read it properly.

Besides, I can see an image of a woman put in a box.  In my opinion, it is not suitable to put the image in a box because the image is quite small.  The appearance of box will make the image getting smaller.  

I think the way the designer put the arrangement of the text is unorganized.  

Besides, the designer used a quite dark background of the website and for the boxes the designer use light color in order to enhance the contrast.  

LOGO

This is the image of a logo.  I became interested with this logo because it looks fresh.  This is because the designer used the combination of soft color as a background and green color for this logo.  Green is categorized under cool color.  It will give the feeling of coolness.  The color also is very suitable with the objective of this company.

Besides, the designer use different color for each word because these two words are not being spaced.  Therefore, to state that these words are separated, the designer use different color for different word.  

The designer also use the silhouette or outline image of a cycling boy but the designer put the green color into it to make in synchronize with the words. 

I also found a horizontal symmetry character at the image of the cycling boy.  The designer use this balance technique in order to create a shadow so that the image looks alive.

The leave on the picture shows the characteristic of natural shape.  It is very suitable to be put onto this logo because it is related to the word 'Green".

Crystal Animals

This is an image of "Crystal Animals" by Ooli Inkink.  He just use the combination of geometric shape in order to create the image of this animal.Although the image looks very stiff but i still can identify the image is look like the face of a dog.    Besides, he used different values of color for each geometric shape in order to enhance the shape of a crystal.  I also found that this image is in a symmetrical shape.  if i imagine there's a line in the middle of the image, i can see the left image is being reflected to right and vice versa.

Tree Silhouettes

The first picture shows an image of "Tree Silhouettes" whereas the second picture shows an image of "White Tree Silhouettes on Black".  I think these two pictures have an outline effects.  Outlines are the lines made by the edge of an object or its silhouette.  Of interest was whether changes in outline shape would predict recognition performance for both silhouettes and normal, shaded images. 

Besides these two images also have the natural shape because the shape is irregular.  As we know, tree is one of the natural element on the earth and these perfect drawing made these images looks real.  

These two pictures only consist the color of white and black.  Therefore it shows the appearance of contrast.  Contrast is is what stands out or gets noticed first.  When i looked into the these two images, my eyes automatically focus on the image of the tree rather than the background of the picture.
